愛連結，讓 LOVE 無限大 — 大林慈濟與新加坡邱德拔醫院的暖心故事
一段美好的緣分，始於一場跨國的交流。
新加坡 邱德拔醫院（Khoo Teck Puat Hospital） 團隊前來大林慈濟醫院參訪時，在心蓮病房，看見象徵「大愛」的愛心藝術作品。
其中一位華人團隊成員深受感動，她說：
「我們醫院的 LOVE 已經很美，如果再加上一個代表華人情感的『愛』字，意義會更深。」
那一刻，我們明白——愛，不只是一個符號，而是一座橋樑，
連結文化、連結心靈、也連結療癒的力量。
於是，當受邀前往新加坡開會時，我特別將一座 高達 88 公分的「愛」雕塑背出國。
88，象徵「發發」與祝福；
背負著重量，也是背負著心意。
這座「大愛」更成為義賣品，
由邱德拔醫院捐贈予 大林慈濟心蓮花園，
挹注心蓮花園的建造經費。
2019年1月，在KTP院長親自主持下，
舉行了溫馨的「掛愛儀式」。
從此，這座「愛」成為醫院的一處亮點，
也成為無數病人、家屬與醫療同仁心中的一束光。
一個字，承載一份情；
一顆心，連起兩個國家的善念。
今天，這段故事提醒我們：
愛可以旅行、可以跨越、可以擴散，
從一顆心，照亮另一顆心。

願每個被照亮的人，也能成為光。

This heartwarming story highlights the power of love and cultural connection through art. When the team from Singapore’s Khoo Teck Puat Hospital visited Dalin Tzu Chi Hospital, they were touched by the “Great Love” artwork in the Heart Lotus Ward. A Chinese team member shared that although their hospital uses the word “LOVE,” adding the Chinese character for love (愛) would give even deeper meaning for their largely Chinese community.
Inspired by this, the artist personally carried an 88-cm tall “愛” sculpture to Singapore during a conference — symbolizing blessings and dedication. The sculpture was later purchased through a charity program, and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital donated it to support the construction of Dalin Tzu Chi’s Heart Lotus Garden.
In January 2019, a special “Hanging Love Ceremony” was held with the hospital president, marking the artwork as a meaningful symbol and a beloved highlight of the hospital environment.
This story reflects how love transcends borders and languages, spreading warmth and compassion from Taiwan to Singapore — a reminder that even a single symbol of love can create infinite connections and inspire kindness across nations.
